About Lindsay

Lindsay is an Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer at Thomas & Swanepoel Inc.

Background

"I studied LLB at the University of Pretoria and graduated in 2018.  I started my practical vocational training in 2019 at Anita Campbell Attorneys in Tzaneen.  I decided to cede my articles to Thomas & Swanepoel Incorporated as I wanted to pursue the route of becoming a conveyancer and notary public."

Motivation for enrolling at the Gawie le Roux Institute of Law

"I attended previous online classes and used all the notes to prepare for my exams.  I had a lot of success with all my exams, passing all four of my admission exams the first time as well as my conveyancing exam."

Preparing for the notarial exam

"I attended the exam workshop for the notarial exam presented by Mr J van Stade.  The workshop gave me so much self-confidence to write the exam."

"The lecturers are really helpful and well-prepared."

Lindsay's study tips

"I would recommend using the notes provided by Gawie le Roux, plan ahead, and not leave everything for the last minute.  Doing the exam workshop is also a great way to revise and ask questions."

On obtaining the highest mark in Limpopo

"I studied really hard and did a lot of planning around my study times.  I do want to thank this institute for helping me to prepare as the exam workshop really helped me pull everything together before the exam."

A final word

"Do not measure yourself against the pass rate.  Put in the necessary work and take one day at a time.
With hard work, anyone can succeed.
I wrote my notary exam while I was 35 weeks pregnant, nothing is impossible!"
