"I began my career as an insurance assessor/investigator in 2007. With extensive experience in insurance fraud investigations, I am also a certified Santam Motor Claims Assessor. I previously served as an external tracing agent for Norton Rose Fulbright, one of the big five law firms in Cape Town."
Motivation for enrolling at the Gawie le Roux Institute of Law
"I always had a deep passion for the law. I always had this deep curiosity to understand the law and how to apply it; to understand how each law is structured and how to apply the law accordingly and the procedure thereof.
I wanted and needed to test myself, my strength and my endurance. Studying for this course while being a mom with mommy household duties and running my own business tutoring learners in the three compulsory subjects: English, Afrikaans, and Mathematics. Meetings with schools and parents are challenging. And assisting my own children with tasks at hand and prepping them for exams.
I came to acknowledge my inner strength and endurance and that I am ready to step into my new career in the field of law and further my studies as a first-year LLB law student in 2025. Upon obtaining my results via email, I was approached by a criminal advocate to do my articles at his firm once I completed my studies. This course gave me the boost and acknowledgement that I needed."
