Registration Terms and Conditions
In-person lectures

In-person lectures take place in Pretoria.

Registrations close 2 weeks before commencement of a course.

Course notes will be made available on the day lectures commence.

On the last day of the course, your performance in a mock trial will be assessed by the lecturer and a moderator to assess whether you show proficiency in trial practice sufficient to warrant the right of appearance in the High Court. Their decision will be final. You must attend every day of this 5-day course to participate in the mock trial and receive your competency certificate.

No instalments or down payments are accepted.

The early registration fee is applicable if your registration with full payment is received before or on the date specified for early registration.

In the case of cancellation:
Deferral to another intake
Where a student requests to defer their enrolment:
a. if the deferral is requested within fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the course commencement date, an administrative fee of 10% of the course fee will be charged; or
b. if the deferral is requested within seven (7) calendar days prior to the course commencement date, an administrative fee of 15% of the course fee will be charged.
Cancellation
Where a student cancels their enrolment:
a. if cancellation is received within fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the course commencement date, 50% of the course fee will be non-refundable; or
b. if cancellation is received within seven (7) calendar days prior to the course commencement date, 70% of the course fee will be non-refundable.
Cancellation by the Institute
The Institute reserves the right to cancel a course due to insufficient enrolments or any other operational requirement. In such instances, all fees paid will be refunded in full. -
Gawie le Roux Institute of Law reserves the right to cancel or move the dates of this course for any reason whatsoever. In such a case, an alternative date will be provided, or your registration fee will be refunded.

All rights to course material, lectures and recordings are reserved under the Berne Convention. According to the Copyright Act, No. 98 of 1978, no part of the course material, lectures or recordings may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without the prior permission in writing from Gawie le Roux Institute of Law.
