Online lectures

  1. Registrations close one week before commencement of a course.  
  2. If you have not received any communication/email confirmation from us within two working days after registration, it might mean that something went wrong with the registration. In such a case, please confirm your registration with us: sheriseatgawieleroux.co.za or (012) 361-1715 
  3. No course material will be supplied or registration for attendance confirmed until full payment is received.
  4. No instalments or down payments are accepted.
  5. The early registration fee is applicable if your registration with full payment is received before or on the date specified for early registration.
  6. Course manuals will be dispatched 1-2 weeks before the presentation of Zoom lectures.
  7. No attendance of the course will be allowed making use of someone else's study material.
  8. Ensure you collect your study material prior to the course presentation, from PostNet or our office if indicated. Please adhere to collection times as will be communicated.
  9. Registration for an attendance course can be postponed to a later intake, subject to course material updates – contact the course coordinator.
  10. You can switch from Zoom lectures to recordings (an additional fee might be applicable). Please contact us at sheriseatgawieleroux.co.za
  11. 1.  In the case of cancellation by you:  
    - A refund is only possible if study material has not been dispatched – a cancellation fee of R200 will be charged (for any reason, e.g. personal reasons, work-related reasons, double payments, time constraints, etc.)
    - If course manuals were dispatched, the self-study and cancellation fee will be charged.
    2.  In the case that a Zoom lecture is cancelled by us (for whatever reason):
    - An alternative date will be identified (if possible) or;
    - The recordings of the lectures will be made available to continue the course.
    - If you are not satisfied with the alternative option, the cancellation rules mentioned in 11.1 apply.
  12. Course material dispatched/opened will not be accepted for a refund. 
  13. It is your responsibility to arrange in advance if you are going to miss a session or part thereof.
  14. Evaluations/tests will be sent directly to your email address after the last lecture of the course. No marked evaluations or memorandums will be available.
  15. All rights on course material, lectures and recordings are reserved under the Berne Convention. According to the Copyright Act, No. 98 of 1978 no part of the course material, lectures or recordings may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without the prior permission in writing from Gawie le Roux Institute of Law.
     

Recordings

  4. In the case of cancellation by you: If study material has been dispatched, the self-study fee plus a cancellation fee of R200 will be charged.  If study material has not been dispatched, a cancellation fee of R200 will be charged before a refund is made.
  5. Course material that has been opened or recordings that have been viewed will not be eligible for a refund.
  6. After you have received your notes, follow the instructions in your confirmation letter which will be sent with the notes (or via email).
  7. The allowed study period will start from the day study material is dispatched, should you not finish the course in the permitted time you will have to re-register (fee to be confirmed by the course coordinator).
  8. Re-evaluations for unsuccessful attempts will be allowed at R390 per paper within 10 days after your results have been announced.
  9. No marked evaluations or memorandums will be available.
  10. LIMITED ACCESS: Recordings are only available for a limited time (4 weeks per component) and 2x views per video. Please refer to your registration confirmation letter for more information.
  11. All rights on course material, lectures and recordings are reserved under the Berne Convention. According to the Copyright Act, No. 98 of 1978 no part of the course material, lectures or recordings may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without the prior permission in writing from Gawie le Roux Institute of Law.
